Back in January we wrote about why we started NextEdge Data. Since then we’ve introduced Edge Assist, our data analytics work, and workflow automation — and talked about how the three fit together. Six months in feels like a good moment to look ahead.
Where we’re headed
The core idea hasn’t changed: practices shouldn’t have to fight their own software to get through the day. A few things we’re actively working toward:
- More practice management systems supported — the same official, vendor-sanctioned approach we use today, extended to more of the systems practices already run on
- Deeper analytics — moving from “here’s what happened” toward “here’s what’s likely to happen next,” so practices can get ahead of problems instead of reacting to them
- A wider automation library — covering more of the repetitive admin work that eats up a team’s day, based directly on what we’re hearing from practices using Edge Assist today
- Beyond dental — the same approach, built for other practice types that deal with the exact same scheduling and front-desk pressure
What stays the same
However far this goes, two things won’t change: we build through official, sanctioned integrations, not shortcuts — and none of this is about replacing the people who run these practices. It’s about giving them back the time that admin work quietly takes from them.
Thanks for following along with us this year. There’s more coming — including a closer look at how the different types of AI actually stack up, and where Edge Assist sits on that spectrum.
